My name is Brooklyn Velez. I am a Graphic Designer. I have a B.A. in Applied Art and Design with a concentration in Graphic Design, along with a Minor in Information Technology.

My journey in graphic design began with a passion for telling stories and feeling emotions through visual art. With the support and encouragement of many strong figures in my life I have had the ability to pursue my love for art. In the Spring of 2022, I enrolled in my first graphic design class and instantly my curiosity for graphic design was ignited. 

Throughout my studies, I have gained experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Procreate, and Canva. Over the years, I have strengthened my artistic abilities and learned how to make ideas come to life. I am well-versed in keeping up to date with the latest design trends and technologies. I have designed and created several album covers, typefaces, illustrations, menus, packaging designs, calendars, motion illustrations, as well as a variety of posters. As I have a solid background in graphic design, an acute attention to detail, and a desire for inspiration, I am excited to share my abilities in creating designs that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.

Outside of my academic studies, I often do drawings, paintings, and woodworking. Creating and designing has always been a significant part of my life and to bring that into my career is both exciting and meaningful. Apart from design, I enjoy listening to music, spending time with loved ones, gardening, and playing card games.
